This year the exhibition focuses on 'BOOKS', a theme that has given the artists inspiration to create the most beautiful sand sculptures. Stroll through the impressive sand library and be enchanted by beautifully depicted stories from various genres, including children's books, literature and fairy tales.

Look behind the scenes
The sand sculpture exhibition, which you will find on the grounds of 'De Sculpture Garden', offers a unique experience where art and literature come together. During the first two weeks after the opening, the artists are still working outside on some sand sculptures. But... how nice is it to get a look behind the scenes and be able to ask all your questions. If you visit 'Zandsculpturen Garderen', you are guaranteed to go on a visual journey through various sections. Come face to face with 'lost friends', such as Dik Trom, Pietje Puk and the skippers of De Kameleon. Also view sand sculptures of contemporary cartoon characters, famous novels and detectives. From classics to contemporary bestsellers, each sculpture tells a story in its own way.

Books in all shapes and sizes
Learn the letters of the alphabet in the classroom, delve into the old textbooks of arithmetic, language and geography and then walk to the large sand library. The route goes past all kinds of different topics. Think of Travel, Art & Culture, People & Society, (non)Fiction, Novels, True Stories, Reference Works, Entertainment and Detectives. Plenty of attention is also paid to children's books and comic books, just like in a real library. One thing is certain! During this exhibition, where you will be introduced to more than a hundred sand sculptures, both young and old will be amazed. In short: a beautiful and even educational outing for the whole family!

Special day out
The entire park is beautifully decorated with decorative materials and beautiful murals. But that's not all! The makers of 'De Grote Tuinverbouwing', the greenest television program in the Netherlands, will soon ensure that the outdoor area is transformed into a colorful sea of ??flowers so that all the sand sculptures stand out even better. Once you have viewed all the sand sculptures, you can still get some garden ideas at your leisure in the Sculpture Garden grounds. Or enjoy a delicious lunch or high tea indoors or on the terrace at Lunchroom de Rozentuin. In this attractive lunchroom you will be served by, among others, people with intellectual disabilities. Would you like to do some more shopping? In the two-storey home furnishings store of over 1,300 square meters you will find everything for in and around the house.
