Burgers' Zoo distinguishes itself from other zoos with its eco-displays, in which natural habitats have been reconstructed on a large scale, uniting visitors, animals and nature. The Bush, for example, features one-and-a-half hectares of tropical rainforest, where the humidity, heat, dense vegetation, smells and sounds provide a full-body experience.

There is also a Mexican-American rock desert (Desert), a coral reef in the Indopacific Ocean (Ocean), a savannah plain with giraffes and rhinos (Safari) and Malaysian rainforest (Rimba). Our newest ecosystem, the largest indoor Mangrove in the world, is inspired by our nature reserve in Belize, which we have managed for over thirty years. The Mangrove is home to butterflies, manatees, various species of crab and more!
